Bevan has been Principal at Waikanae School since July 1998. Although most of his day is tied up with administration he is still first and foremost a teacher who enjoys working with students. In his role as Principal he gets to do all the good stuff such as going on Outdoor Education Trips.

Michelle has been working at Waikanae School for the past 5 years. She has spent all of this time teaching in the Year 5/6 syndicate. In 2010 she took on the role of Acting Deputy Principal to which she was appointed permanently in September. Michelle is primarily responsible for curriculum delivery and special needs across the whole school.

Andrea started at Waikanae School in February 2009. She was formerly teaching at Cashmere Ave School in Khandallah, Wellington. Andrea is a highly experienced and capable teacher. Andrea is be teaching one of our two all boys classes in 2011. During Term 2 Andrea was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal. This position is in a transitional phase and Andrea will have greater corporate roles and a smaller teaching load in 2012.

Michelle joined the staff in late February 2009 and taught a Year 4/5 class for 2009. Michelle was appointed to the role of Syndicate Lead Teacher for 12 months in 2010 and this was extended into 2011 and she now holds the postion of Assistant Principal Year 456. The majority of Michelle's work experience has been within the UK system.

Rachael is our Leader of the Year 7/8 teaching team. With her leadership this team has gone from strength to strength with many dynamic programmes of work being implemented to the benefit of all students.

Nancy began her teaching at Waikanae School in 1996. She has been a member of the Year 7/8 Team for several years. This year she will move to a new syndicate and age level and will be teaching Year 4 students in Room 4. She is a big time sports fan and coordinates all of our school PE and Sport. She can be seen here enjoying the snow on one of our Year 7/8 Ski Trips. During Term 1 Nancy took over the role as Lead Teacher of our Year 3 4 Syndicate. Nancy will remain in this role until the end of the year.
